There is a tall clock tower in Hwa Chong Institution. During the Japanese occupation, the clock tower was one of the tallest building in Singapore. It is easy to have the whole view of the island if we stood at the top of it. So, the Japanese used the clock tower as one of their headquarters during that time. They tortured and killed many people in a room at the top of the clock tower.
The story is like this. One night, my senior was walking around the school. The school was empty at that time. Nobody was around, not even a soul. The school was unusually silent. The silence was eerie. He wandered around the school and when he passed the clock tower, he found something unusual. The window at the top of the clock tower was opened, opened widely. Normally, the room at the top of the tower was locked all the time. The key to the room was not with the school. The room is only opened and cleaned once in a long time.
But at that night, the window was opened! Who or what on earth opened the window, I do not know. On the next morning, the senior went back to the same place and the window was closed again, much to his surprise. He could not figure out who opened the window and he considered it as supernatural. I too, have no idea. I hope dear readers can post your opinions, comments or feedbacks.
There are many more unexplained incidents in Hwa Chong Institution too. I will tell you all next time!
